Brief
Design a clean, easy-to-read white paper template for print and digital use, aligned with LexisNexis brand guidelines.
LexisNexis provides legal, regulatory, and business information to professionals like lawyers, researchers, and government agencies. I was tasked with designing a white paper that would make text-heavy content easier to digest without diluting its authority or message.

The client provided the quotes and selected which parts of the report to include. My role was to bring all elements together into a format that balanced structure and clarity. One key challenge was knowing how much content to break up. I designed the charts, tables, and quotes as minimal as possible to improve readability and to avoid visual clutter. For example, I learned that not every chart needs a full 0–100 scale, it simplified the layout and saved space without losing meaning.
Hyperlinks were another challenge. The report contained a lot of them, and I worked closely with my team to manually check each one using InDesign’s hyperlink panel. We also proofed for errors and formatting issues before publishing.
To speed up production and maintain consistency, I used paragraph and character styles, the eyedropper tool, and GREP rules to fix orphan words. These small efficiencies added up and made the template reusable for future reports.

Color-wise, I used LexisNexis’s signature red, and some black and gray for a clean, professional look. I introduced the secondary palette, green, blue, and purple in the infographics to visually separate the data. For imagery, I avoided anything too “stocky” and instead selected architectural and geometric visuals to fill space meaningfully, which the client especially appreciated.
The final template was approved and rolled out for future use. This project helped me grow in handling long-form documents and taught me to be more intentional with layout and smarter with tools.

Logo Intro Sequence
Brief: Create an animated logo sequence for use in video intros.
Using After Effects and only a vector file, I animated each strip of the LexisNexis starburst one by one, overlapping them to mimic the logo forming in motion. It was my first time animating a logo, and figuring out how to visualize the sequence was a challenge. In hindsight, I’d rebuild the logo directly in After Effects for a cleaner result but overall, the final animation was well received and became a valuable learning experience.
